About RunAltus
RunAltus is a community of running enthusiasts based in and around West Tytherley, Hampshire. We welcome runners of all levels to join us at our sessions which aim to help you improve your running, build confidence as well as have fun, and meet a great bunch of like-minded people.
Our Running Sessions
Tuesday, 6.15 pm: Tuesday evenings are about improving your lactate threshold, and speed endurance as well as improving general running fitness, your ability to hold a good running pace overtime should improve as you cycle through these sessions.
Thursday 6.30 pm: Thursday evenings focus more on improving muscular strength and power, as well as improving your speed and VO2 max. VO2 max is your ability to transport oxygen around your body, to improve you need to stress your system to its capacity. So your lungs and respiratory system come back more resilient and efficient.
Social run – First Sunday of every month we head out on the trails for a leisurely longer run, usually followed by coffee, cake and chat.
Special RunAltus Activities
Regular Race Meetups: Participate in local races as a team, supporting each other and sharing in the thrill of competition.
Parkrun Gatherings: We regularly meet up at Salisbury Park Run
Post-Run Social: After our social run, chat with fellow runners over cake and coffee.
